Welcome to Brittany, sea kayakers from England, Spain, Germany… !

The Plan is simple: to gather paddlers of all levels for one week of paddling in Brittany.
During June 2009 the French kayakdemer association held a very successful gathering in Brittany. Following from this Kayakdemer.eu has decided with other sea kayak associations to organize a festival in the Aber region of Finistère in Britanny, during August 2011 (6-15th August 2011). The week will allow people to paddle together, and will create connections between European paddlers.
A base camp will be set up on the coast with direct access to the sea. There will be good camping facilities and other necessities can be found nearby.
Guides with local knowledge will lead organized trips every day, but of course everyone can be on their own schedule too.
The idea is to gather every evening, exchange experiences, and party…
We will welcome you with a genuine Breton fest-noz on the first evening, and the week will end with a traditional meal: roast wild boar, just like in the Asterix books.
Beginners and intermediates and non-participants will not be excluded: the Aber region includes perfect places for a gentle paddle with wonderful views and the opportunity to observe birds and sea life.
For experienced paddlers there a wide variety of sea conditions (currents, Atlantic rollers, surf…)
For the whole week the pass was only 40 € per Adult and 20 € per Child until 15th of March 2011
NOW the full price is 90 € per Adult and 30 € per Child
We are looking forward to seeing you in Brittany next August.

The festival is over
most of the participants are very glad to have been there.
The weather was inperfect but could be worse. No very stong winds.
No rescue needed , that was the rule we aply : prudence .
More than 500 day trippers.
We are sorry for those who have not came. We plan to organize the same in 2013.

Catalogne
prometemos resistir…
When ariving at Lampaul Plouarzel , before reaching the camp site you wiil have to clear the Horn cap. sure.
it is true. be careful. don’t drive sleepy. you will see.
After that cap , you can steer on port side even on starboard , both way lead to the campsite.

In front of the festival we could pay a visit to a farmers familly and animals. Their farm is surounded by the sea. On their flat and long iland they welcome you in their confortable room . a natural food is served . Energy came from the sun and the wind. Water from a well. On the way to or back from Molène island the kind farmers can warm you up in the case of cold bath.

Atlantic and the Channel board our peninsula . On spingtides some kayak games can be practise. you never borring here as in Normandie or Aquitaine landes.
Britany is surrounded by ilands at a distance from half a mile to 15 miles. The bigers one have inhabitants , church and school, restaurants, campingsite.
